Entry Level Staff Attorneys:
Washoe Legal Services (WLS) is currently accepting resumes from attorneys who are interested in working in WLS’s child advocacy, housing, and adult guardianship/senior services departments.
Child Advocacy Attorneys represent children in termination of parental rights proceedings as well as dependency and neglect cases pursuant to NRS 432B. Child advocacy attorneys work with a multidisciplinary team including the child, social workers, therapists, teachers, foster parents, other attorneys, parents and relatives to help the children achieve a safe and permanent home.
Housing and Senior Services Attorneys units will primarily represent seniors and other vulnerable adults in landlord-tenant cases, consumer fraud matters, probate, adult-guardianship, estate planning, and other similar cases.
Salary is $55,000-$60,000 depending upon experience and includes a generous benefits package, an excellent work-life balance, and the opportunity to gain valuable court-room experience while making a difference in a the lives of vulnerable adults and children throughout Washoe County.
